DINING SERVICES SUPERVISOR


Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family are responsible for supervising food service activities.


Examples of Duties:

  • Plan menus to meet established dietary requirements
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Ensure maintenance, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Maintain inventory records system
  • Direct the work of food service support personnel
  • Evaluate food service operations activity to insure effective and efficient methods of operation
  • Attend meetings
  • Communicate with other staff members
  • Plan and direct special events
  • Provide input to budget planning and preparation
  • Supervise, schedule, evaluate, train, and assign the work of subordinate staff

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires high school diploma or GED and food service experience.

OVERTIME PAY ELIGIBILITY: Usually non-exempt (exempt status requires analysis documentation)
