Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform activities associated with preparing baked goods.

Examples of Duties:

• Prepare baked goods
• Cut and wrap or bag portions for serving and storing
• Operate, clean and maintain bakery equipment and utensils
• Determine variety and quantity of goods to bake
• Order baking supplies and equipment
• Maintain records
• May supervise employees performing similar work
• May plan, direct, and control the operation of a large institutional bakery

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires high school diploma or GED.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
