Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform work activities associated with laundry operations.

Examples of Duties:

• Pick up, treat and deliver laundry
• Sort, inspect, mark, soiled laundry
• Clean laundry area, maintain equipment and make minor repairs
• Perform mending
• Wash, dry, press, and fold laundry
• Lubricate and adjust laundering equipment
• Maintain records
• Order laundry supplies
• May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires high school diploma or GED.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
