Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family will perform duties associated with the care and supervision of children enrolled in a licensed child care program.
Examples of Duties:
- Provide appropriate child care including feeding, dressing, bathing, etc.
- Maintain schedules for child activities and provide supervision of activities
- Administer authorized medications
- Prepare and maintain reports and charts
- Perform child care related housekeeping duties
- Communicate with children and parents
- Interpret and follow specific instructions and procedures regarding child care activities
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires high school diploma or GED and licensure, registration or certification as required by law.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related
work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with
written justification.
