Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family conduct the learning and educational programs of a licensed child care facility.

Examples of Duties:

• Arrange and manage classrooms
• Maintain educational materials, equipment, and supplies
• Conduct field trips and special event activities
• Maintain transportation schedules
• Attend and participate in parent-involvement events
• Coordinate program activities
• Conduct classroom instruction under the direction of a certified instructor
• Conduct child screening, counseling, testing, and evaluation
• Complete administrative reports, correspondence, and records-keeping
• May complete housekeeping and other general facility maintenance duties
• May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires an Associate degree in appropriate field and licensure, registration or certification as required by law.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
