Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform technical duties in communications, such as broadcast engineering, radio communications and emergency services, duplication services, graphics, and photography.
Examples of Duties:
- Operate, install, maintain, and repair electronic radio and/ or television equipment
- Receive emergency calls and disseminate warnings, alerts and messages
- Prepare documents, setup, operate, maintain offset/duplicating equipment
- Prepare cost estimates
- Order supplies, equipment, and parts and maintain production and cost records, maintain inventory and equipment lists
- Design, layout, and produce various illustrative media
- Operate camera and develop, enlarge, produce, and retouch prints, negatives, or slides
- Maintain and prepare photographic chemicals
- Catalog and preserve photographic collections
- Provide videography and video editing services
- Maintain records
- May supervise employees performing similar work
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires an Associate degree in appropriate field or licensure, registration, or certification as required by law.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
