Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family provide technology support services.

Examples of Duties:

• Setup, monitor, troubleshoot, operate, and control equipment within a computer system
• Operate console keyboards, tape drives, printers, etc.
• Schedule and perform batch jobs
• Provide routine equipment maintenance
• Assist analysts in resolving processing problems
• Maintain records and reports of system production
• Install and test software and/or hardware; assist instructor/ presenter in interactive video classrooms
• Conduct training sessions
• Test, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, log operational/ technical problems
• Maintain appropriate technical records of activity
• Coordinate with technical workers in related communications system
• Plan and maintain inventory
• Design, develop, maintain, calibrate, repair, and test various electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical instruments
• May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires an Associate degree in appropriate field.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
