Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family provide technology support services.
Examples of Duties:
- Setup, monitor, troubleshoot, operate, and control equipment within a computer system
- Operate console keyboards, tape drives, printers, etc.
- Schedule and perform batch jobs
- Provide routine equipment maintenance
- Assist analysts in resolving processing problems
- Maintain records and reports of system production
- Install and test software and/or hardware; assist instructor/ presenter in interactive video classrooms
- Conduct training sessions
- Test, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, log operational/ technical problems
- Maintain appropriate technical records of activity
- Coordinate with technical workers in related communications system
- Plan and maintain inventory
- Design, develop, maintain, calibrate, repair, and test various electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical instruments
- May supervise employees performing similar work
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires an Associate degree in appropriate field.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
