Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform duties associated with physical operations such as maintaining safety, security, law and order; management of building or landscape services; coordination of maintenance projects; install and repair electronic equipment; develop departmental technical drafting.
Examples of Duties:
- Patrol assigned area, enforce laws and regulations, investigate crimes, perform security checks, and perform general security and law enforcement duties
- Plan, direct, coordinate, inspect, evaluate, recommend and implement changes for housekeeping, custodial and laundry services
- Coordinate maintenance projects, repair efforts, and special events
- Develop specifications for bids and requests for proposals
- Test, modify, install, and maintain electronic equipment
- Create variety of maps, drawings, blueprints, and illustrative material
- Maintain records
- May supervise employees performing similar work
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires an Associate degree in an appropriate field and licensure, registration or certification as required by law.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
