Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this jpb family are responsible for performing duties associated with the piloting and navigation of aircraft for the purpose of transporting personnel and materials and providing high performance jet aircraft pilot training.


Examples of Duties:

  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Monitor student progress, audit flight records, write student evaluations
  • Conduct pre-flight briefings, inspections, and prepare flight plans
  • Prepare required paperwork
  • Maintain information on landing facilities, charts, maps, etc.
  • Advise department officials on aviation related matters
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct flights
  • May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires a Bachelor degree and appropriate FAA certification.


Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
