Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family are responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the management and provision of child care, social work service or support, or treatment programs for mental and emotional disorders.

Examples of Duties:

• Develop, manage, and implement child care or day care programs
• Provide information and referral services
• Perform case management
• Provide child protective services
• Recruit, train, and license foster care providers
• Provide counseling for adults
• Interview, diagnose, and evaluate patients
• Determine treatment
• Conduct research
• Coordinate provision of services
• May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires a Bachelor degree and licensure, registration, or certification as may be required by law.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
