Scope of Work:

Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform administrative, management, or professional duties associated with physical plant management and security.

Examples of Duties:

Plan, develop, and monitor budgets
Participate in planning agency goals and objectives
Develop and implement policies related to physical plant management, safety and security
Conduct investigations, surveys, feasibility studies
Enforce safety and security policies and regulations
Manage maintenance of buildings, power facilities, and surrounding grounds
Plan, organize and coordinate activity associated with overall physical plant, police department, and occupational safety and environmental health program
Provide advisory services to management and administration
May supervise employees performing similar work

Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:

Requires a Bachelor degree in construction management, economics, business administration, engineering or industrial technology, criminal justice, or natural sciences; or Associate degree in fields listed above and three years of related experience; and licensure, registration or certification as may be required by law.

Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
