Scope of Work:
Individuals assigned to positions in this job family perform duties associated with the management of grants and contracts, fiscal, business, or service operations.
Examples of Duties:
- Prepare financial statements, maintain accounting records, reports, statements
- Audit transactions and determine allowability
- Research and interpret regulations, policies, procedures, and programs and disseminating interpretations, determine compliance and enforce policy, law, and regulations
- Approve expenditures, approve budget revisions on grants and contracts
- Review contract proposals and assist in writing grant proposals
- Interpret and carry out administrative directions
- Plan, develop, and monitor budgets
- Participate in planning agency goals and objectives
- Coordinate personnel administration functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain records management programs
- Analyze accounting systems and procedures
- Classify, record and report financial operations, identify, research and resolve accounting discrepancies, and analyze, allocate, and monitor expenditures and revenues
- Provide advisory services to management and administration
- May supervise employees performing similar work
Minimum Qualifications to Enter Family:
Requires a Bachelor degree with a major in business administration, accounting, or a related field, or two years of college and three years of directly related work experience.
Exception: The employing institution may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements with written justification.
